"Why Do I Use This Photo In My
Ads?"
Dear
Friend,
When I meet people in town, they usually say, "Oh, yeah, I know you, you're Dr. Lynch. I've seen your
ad with that picture of you and the cute little
kids."
Well, perhaps I should tell you a little more
about that photo, and why I use it in my ads.
This is
my family; I am proud of them and love them more than anything. They are growing
up too fast! Matthew, on the left, starts school this year and is he ever
excited. Michael, who is catching a little nap during the boat ride,
is crawling all over and has a mouth full of teeth already. Annie
Beth is a little charm. She keeps up with her brothers and is excited
about Brownies, Dance, and School. David seems to get taller each time I
adjust him. This is a big year for David, he's in middle school, Boy Scouts, and
he is running with the "older kids" on the team. Sometimes it's hard to remember
that Tommy is only eight. He is doing things in school that I didn't
do until much later and he has incredible physical talents as well. This picture
was during a late season "Sunday Boat Ride" and Terry, my wife and best
friend is taking the picture. Sam, my oldest daughter, is having a
blast in college now.
When I
was David's age I suffered from chronic, recurrent tonsillitis / strep throat,
which was very painful and kept me in bed for weeks. My mother was seeing a
chiropractor for her low back pain and brought me along one day just as one of
my throat episodes was getting bad. Within two days I was back on my feet and
able to go back to school and out to play, and I didn't have to take
antibiotics, which gave me diarrhea and made my stomach feel sick. Just like
that -- after a couple of adjustments to my spine, which I remember actually
feeling quite good, the pain went away and never came back.
The
same thing happened to other problems I had with my health. Stuff that I
wouldn't have thought chiropractic could help with went away, like indigestion
and bowel trouble. Even the leg cramps that used to wake me up at night
disappeared after being adjusted. One time, I bit into a hard apple and felt my
jaw pop and then I couldn't close it. My chiropractor even adjusted my jaw and
it got better. Chiropractic worked so well for me that I eventually gave up a
successful career and went into chiropractic school myself.
My
family is lucky because their chiropractor lives in their house. Our family
rarely gets sick or suffers from the common illnesses. Things like colic,
constipation, tummy aches, ear infections, colds and flu, just to name a few,
don't happen much in our house. My kids know enough to ask me to adjust them
when they feel like they may be getting sick, or sometimes just to stay "tuned
up." Also, my wife never experienced low back pain during any of her pregnancies
because she gets adjusted regularly.
It's
strange how life is, because now people come to see me with their neck and leg
problems. Also they come to me with their headaches, migraines, chronic pain,
shoulder/arm pain, whiplash from car accidents, backaches, ear infections,
numbness in the limbs, just to name a few.
Forty-five
million Americans no longer have health insurance, and those who do have
found that their chiropractic benefits are reduced. That's where my chiropractic
comes in. Many people find that they actually save money on their health care
expenses by seeing a chiropractor. Another way to save ... studies show that
chiropractic can double your immune capacity, naturally and without drugs. The
immune system fights colds, flues, and other sicknesses. So you may not be
running off to the doctor as much. This is especially important if your are
self-employed. And, an entire week of care in my office may cost you what
you would pay for one
visit elsewhere.
